Jordan Kekst is a fourth-year architecture student at the University of Miami School of Architecture, proficient in hand drafting, 3D modeling, and advanced visualization techniques. He has worked as an intern at various architectural practices for the past four summers, contributing to projects ranging from residential to civic architecture, producing detailed drawings, renderings, and technical documentation while collaborating closely with consultants, clients, and project teams.

Jordan has also served as a teaching assistant for visual representation I, II, and III, strengthening his ability to communicate complex architectural concepts clearly and effectively to students. His work reflects a commitment to thoughtful design, sustainable practices, and adaptive problem-solving, with a focus on integrating technology and material exploration into architectural projects. He combines creativity, precision, and professional rigor to deliver meaningful and well-executed design outcomes.

Teaching Assistant for Visual Representation I, II, and III. Assisted Professors Haley Smith, Carie Penabad, Drew Dunphy, Stephen Wisniew, Juan Yactayo, and Maclane Regan in instructing students in drawing, measurement, and the use of architectural tools and software including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Rhinoceros, and AutoCAD. Served as Coordinating Teaching Assistant with Professor Carie Penabad for Visual Representation I in Fall 2024.

Documented a historic residential building through measured drawings and architectural photography, developed new floor and demolition plans, developed elevation drawings, and created a presentation for the Historic Preservation Board.

Summer Architectural Intern

Worked on a residential project over two consecutive summers, developing schematic design drawings including plans, sections, elevations, interior elevations, reflected ceiling plans, and structural sections. Produced 3D study models, door and window schedules, hardware schedules, and device and wallplate matrices. Conducted precedent and product research, selected hardware, coordinated with manufacturers, collaborated with engineers on lighting and HVAC systems, and produced archival drawings.
